Dusty Miller, the wand makers

Working for all the tree spirits
DM14: We work for all the tree spirits, so they tell us when to go and collect the piece of wood, where to collect it, which tree to collect it from – it’s all very complicated and often means getting up in the middle of the night to be in the forest at daybreak. Why they always want daybreak, I don’t know… Why it can’t be lunchtime?
DM13: Trees don’t have lunch!
DM14: No, that’s true, they don’t… [both pretending to be simpletons -CW]

Tools to make changes in your life
Presenter: The wood they collect is made into wands, which they believe channel the sacred power of the trees.
DM14: Because we have this partnership with the tree spirits, when they tell us to make certain tools, to create certain items for people to make changes in their lives, and be able to maybe do healing on other people or themselves, then we are quite happy to do that, and that’s what we will spend our entire lifetimes doing.
DM14: How many have you made in your lifetime, you think, you worked out the other day? Around seven thousand?
DM13: Seven thousand five hundred.
DM14: “But I like making them”, so he still makes the odd one or two.

It's part of the magickal wonder of the world
DM14: To us, it’s the old-fashioned magick, it’s part of the magickal wonder of the world.
Unfortunately, magick as we know it, doesn’t happen instanteneously. The Universe usually takes a little while to catch up and make the changes.
